Venus Industries

Venus Industries is over at 378/4 in the Shanker Tekri area of Udyognagar. It is an industrial patch where everyone seems to be making something out of metal or plastic. Our shed isn't the biggest one on the street, but we make the most of the space we have. You’ll usually find a couple of us out front moving crates or talking to a delivery driver. Inside, it’s pretty basic—just the machines, some workbenches, and a small corner for the computer and the phone. We don’t have a big sign out front, just the address painted on the wall. The air in Shanker Tekri usually smells like grease and hot metal, and we’ve grown used to it over the years. We start our shift pretty early to avoid the worst of the afternoon heat. There is a guy who comes around with a tea cart twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break and talk about things other than work. We don't really follow a strict corporate manual. If something needs fixing, we grab a wrench and do it ourselves. It’s a practical, hands-on kind of place. Most of our neighbors are doing the same thing, so there’s a sense of being in it together. We just keep our heads down, do the work that comes in, and try to keep the place organized enough to find our tools.
