Swastik Machine Tools

We've been here at Keshav Estate for a while now. It's right on the Post Office Road in the GIDC area of Shankar Tekri. Most people know this part of Jamnagar as Udyognagar because there's so much manufacturing going on. We run Swastik Machine Tools from this shop. It’s a busy spot. Usually, there's grease on our hands and the sound of machines running all day long. We deal with various tools that the local shops and factories need. It gets hot in the summer here, but we keep working through it. My father started things around here and now we just keep the machines turning. It’s not a fancy office or anything. Just a solid workshop where things get made. We see a lot of the same faces coming in from around the GIDC. People stop by for parts or just to see if we can fix something that broke down on their floor. The floor is concrete and often covered in metal shavings. We like the work. It’s honest. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a headache, but that’s just how it goes in an industrial estate. We try to keep the inventory sorted so we can find what a customer needs without making them wait too long. It’s just us here, working the lathes and making sure the tools are ready for whoever needs them next. We have some old metal cabinets for our files and a heavy desk that has been here as long as I can remember.
