Silver Brass Industries

We’ve been here at Row Type 85/2 in GIDC Shankar Tekri for quite a while now. Jamnagar is a busy place for brass work, and our unit is just one of many in this industrial area. Most days start early with the sound of machines turning on and the smell of metal in the air. It’s a dusty spot, but that’s just how it is in Udyognagar. We spend a lot of time checking parts and making sure the lathes are running right. It’s not fancy work, honestly. Just a lot of turning brass rods into whatever pieces are needed that week. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine acts up, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing things instead of producing. The guys here have been working together for years, so we have a rhythm down. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop on the block, just trying to get the orders done and out the door by the weekend. People stop by the office to talk about specs or just to have a cup of tea when things are slow. It gets pretty hot in the summer months, but we keep the fans going and stay busy. There’s always another pile of scrap to move or a new shipment coming in. That’s pretty much how life goes for us here at Silver Brass Industries. We just keep at it, day after day, in our little corner of the GIDC.
