Sarovar Industries

Our place, Sarovar Industries, sits at Plot No. 82-1 in Phase-1 of the GIDC area in Shankar Tekari. It’s a standard industrial plot, nothing too special to look at from the street. Inside, it’s mostly just equipment and materials stacked where we have room. We’ve been operating out of Shankar Tekari because it’s where all the action is for businesses like ours. The mornings are usually the busiest time when the delivery trucks start arriving. We have to move things around to make space, which can be a bit of a puzzle sometimes. The team here consists of people who have been doing this for years, so we don't need to say much to each other to get things moving. We aren't interested in making the place look like a showroom. It’s a workspace, through and through. The floors are concrete and the roof is high, which helps a little with the heat, though not much in the middle of summer. We deal with whatever comes our way, whether it's a small order or a bigger task that takes all week to finish. Most of our day is spent making sure the output is consistent and the machines don't overheat. We don’t have fancy slogans or logos. We just work at our benches and keep track of our orders on a simple clipboard. When the sun goes down, we finish up and get ready to do it all over again the next day.
