You can find us at Plot 382 in Udhyognagar, Jamnagar. We are right opposite the GEB office, which is a landmark everyone in Shanker Tekri knows. It’s actually pretty convenient being across from the electricity office, though the power still goes out more than we’d like. Our place is a typical Jamnagar brass unit. It’s got that smell of oil and metal that never really leaves your clothes. We’ve been working out of this same spot for years. The building is old and has a lot of character, or at least that’s what we call the cracks in the floor. We don't have any polished brochures or a fancy website. If someone wants to see what we do, they just walk into the shed. The machines are old but they still run fine if you know how to treat them. We spend most of our day standing at the benches or checking the output. Shanker Tekri is always loud and there’s always someone moving something on a cart. We know most of the people on this street. It’s a tight community of small workshops. We don't try to act bigger than we are. We just take the orders, do the machining, and try to keep the scrap metal sorted. It’s greasy work and it’s loud, but it’s honest. When the day is over, we lock up the gate and head home through the Udhyognagar traffic. The walk to the station is not too bad.
