Mahendra Brass Industries

Mahendra Brass Industries is located over at C-2/330 in the Shankar Tekri section of Udyognagar. If you know Jamnagar at all, you know this part of the GIDC is where all the brass work happens. We have been here for a good bit of time now, just running our machines and handling whatever jobs come our way. It’s a straightforward operation. The shop floor is usually crowded with scrap and finished parts, and there is always a bit of grease on someone’s hands. We don’t really do the whole big corporate thing with meetings or fancy lobbies. It is more about getting the work out the door. The area around Shankar Tekri is always humming with the sound of lathes and drills, and we are right there in the mix. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine breaks down, and we just have to figure it out as we go. It’s a practical life here. We see the same faces every day in the industrial estate. Our address hasn't changed in years because we are settled in. We just focus on the metalwork and keeping the shop running as best as we can. It’s a lot of manual labor and watching the details of the brass pieces we make. It might not be the quietest place to work, but it’s our spot and it’s where we get everything done every day. We usually open up early and stay until the work is finished.
