Kamal Auto Industries

We are located at K-1/281 in the Shankar Tekri area. Kamal Auto Industries is right in the middle of the GIDC - 1 noise. If you walk down our street in Udyognagar, you’ll see plenty of shops like ours. The air is thick with the smell of grease and burnt metal. It’s the kind of place where your hands stay dirty no matter how much you wash them. We deal with auto parts and metal work all day. There is a specific sound to this part of Jamnagar that you get used to after a week. It’s the constant clanging of tools and the roar of engines. Our shop isn't big, but we pack a lot of equipment into the space. We have a rhythm here that keeps us going. One person starts a task and the next one picks it up. We don’t talk much while the machines are on because you can’t hear anything anyway. During the lunch break, we sit outside or find a corner to eat our tiffins. It’s a simple routine. The floors are concrete and stained with years of use. We don’t try to make it look pretty. It’s a workshop, not a showroom. We see the same faces every day in the industrial estate. Most of us have been working these same machines for a long time. It’s just the way life goes here.
