Working out of Plot No. 488/a in the Shankar Tekri area keeps us pretty busy. Jamnagar is a hub for this kind of stuff, so being in the middle of GIDC-1 makes sense for what we do. It’s not a quiet place by any means. There is always someone unloading a truck or the sound of metal hitting metal coming from the neighbor's place. We spend most of our time out on the floor, making sure the orders are moving along like they should. It’s dusty work, and your hands never really stay clean for long. We’ve had this spot for years, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we spend more on the equipment than the decor. Sometimes the electricity acts up, which is just part of being in an industrial zone. We grab tea from the stall at the corner when things slow down for a minute. Most of our day is just checking bits and pieces and talking to the drivers who come to pick up the crates. It’s a small operation, really. Just a few of us making sure everything is counted right. We don’t do much fancy talking. If the work is done, that’s what matters at the end of the shift. We just lock up the gate at 488/a and do it all again the next day.
