Jit Brass

You can find Jit Brass over at Digvijay Plot, right across from Amar Industries. We occupy the space at 53 and 54. It’s basically a big workshop filled with metal and tools. There’s a lot of heat because of the work we do, so it’s always a bit sweaty inside. We’ve been working with brass for a long time. The floors are dark from the metal dust and the oil, and you won’t find any carpets or fancy furniture here. We have some heavy benches and a few old chairs for when we need a break. It’s noisy, with the sound of grinding and metal hitting metal. We don't really have a front desk. Most people just walk into the shop and shout to get someone's attention. We keep the raw materials stacked up in the back and the finished pieces near the front door. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit mixed up, but we know where everything is eventually. It’s a small team, mostly just guys who have been doing this for decades. We don’t do any marketing or have a logo on our shirts. People just know us because we’ve been at this spot forever. The neighborhood is full of small industries like ours, so there’s always a lot of trucks moving through the narrow lanes. It’s a bit messy and loud, but that’s just the way a brass shop is. We get the work done and that’s about it.
