India Button Factory

Our factory is situated at C-2/323 in GIDC-1, over in the Shankar Tekri area of Jamnagar. People around here call it Udyognagar for a reason; it’s packed with small businesses making everything you can think of. We focus on buttons. It might sound like a small thing, but it keeps us very busy. We have machines that punch and shape them all day long. The noise is constant but you get used to it after a week. India Button Factory isn't a fancy name, but it tells you exactly what we do. We don't have a big sales team. Most of our business comes from people who’ve known us for years. The workspace is filled with sacks of finished buttons and bins of raw materials. It’s a bit cramped, but we make it work. Jamnagar has a long history of this kind of manufacturing, and we are glad to be a part of it. We work hard, take our tea breaks together, and keep the machines oiled. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it ourselves. That’s just part of running a factory. We don't promise anything impossible. We just make buttons and try to do it well. It’s a living, and we take pride in the fact that our stuff ends up on clothes all over the place. We start at eight and stay until the day's quota is met.
