Esquire Brass Industries

It’s a bit of a climb up to the first floor here at K-1/240 in the GIDC area. Esquire Brass Industries has been in this spot for a while now. Most days it’s just the sound of the machines running and the guys talking over the noise. Shankar Tekri is a busy part of Jamnagar, so there is always something going on outside the window. You see the trucks pulling in and out of Udyognagar all day long. The air usually smells like hot metal and machine oil. It’s not a fancy place, just a workspace where we get things done. We spend a lot of time cleaning up brass shavings. They get into everything, even your shoes. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the afternoons. Sometimes we keep the door open to get a bit of a breeze, but mostly it's just hot. We know the people in the shops next to us pretty well. We share the same dusty road and the same tea stall down the way. It is a simple life of making parts and checking them over before they go out. There isn't much to say about us other than we are here every morning when the sun comes up. We stay until the work is finished for the day. It’s just how things are done in this part of town.
