Ambica Brass Industries

We have been operating out of Plot No. 361/5/8 49 in Digvijayplot, over in the Shankar Tekri Udyognagar area of Jamnagar. Jamnagar is famous for brass work, and we are right in the thick of it. The air here always has that metallic tang to it that you never really lose. Our workshop is quite hot because of the melting and casting we do throughout the day. You get used to the sweat and the soot after a while. We have these crucibles and molds scattered all over the place. It is a messy business, but there is something satisfying about seeing the molten brass pour out into the shapes. We are a small outfit, and we do not have a big fancy office for meetings. Most of the space is taken up by the foundry work and the cooling racks. The neighborhood is full of other shops just like ours, so there is always the sound of hammers and grinders in the background. We spend our days checking the molds and cleaning up the rough castings. It is physical work that leaves your hands stained and your clothes smelling like smoke at the end of the day. We don't use a lot of high-tech gadgets; we mostly rely on what we have learned over the many years. It is a traditional way of doing things, and we do not see any reason to change it if it still works.
