You can find us at 201, City Point, which is right across from the Town Hall. It’s a great spot because there’s always something happening outside, whether it’s a local event or just the usual city bustle. Our shop is on the second floor, so you have to walk up the stairs, which keeps us in shape at least. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze with all the different fabrics and rolls of cloth we have tucked into every corner. We don't really have a fancy display or professional lighting. We just try to keep things organized enough so we can find the right material when someone asks for it. Sometimes the dust from the cloth makes us sneeze, and the counters are a bit scratched from years of sliding heavy rolls across them. We’ve got a couple of old stools for customers to sit on, and we often end up chatting about their sewing projects for much longer than we planned. It’s a friendly place, and we don't worry about sounding corporate or polished. We just know our fabrics and we like helping people find the right one for whatever they are making. The windows look out over the street, and it’s nice to watch the town move while we work. We aren't the biggest shop in town, but we’ve been here long enough that people know us by name. It’s a good, simple business that we’re proud to run.
