We have been operating out of Plot No: 26/A in G.I.D.C, Phase-1 for a good while now. The workshop is usually quite loud with the machines running all day. Most people around here know us as Soni Brass Products. It is a busy part of the industrial estate. There is always someone coming or going. We deal with brass stuff mostly. It gets dusty inside the shed especially when the fans are on during the summer months. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot. Usually, the first thing is checking the machines and seeing what needs doing. It’s not a fancy place but it works for what we do. Our neighbors are also in manufacturing so there is always a lot of clinking and clanking sounds in the air. Sometimes the power goes out but we just wait it out or find something else to clean up. We keep things simple here. We don't have a big office or anything. Just the main area where the work happens and a small desk for the paperwork. Life at Phase-1 is pretty predictable. You see the same faces every day at the tea stall nearby. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready. It takes a lot of time to get the finish right on the brass pieces. We don't rush it because that usually leads to mistakes. We just focus on the job and finishing what is in front of us.
