Simplex Infrastructures Ltd.

The office here is at B63, Jayant Society, which is very close to the Ram Mandir in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Being so close to the temple means we hear the bells and the prayers every morning and evening, which is actually quite a peaceful way to work. It’s a residential society, so it’s mostly families living around our office. We run the Simplex Infrastructures Ltd. operations from this house that we converted. It’s got a small front porch where we sometimes sit and talk when the weather isn't too hot in the evenings. Jamnagar is a busy town because of all the big industries nearby, but our little corner in Jayant Society is relatively quiet. We have a few rooms filled with steel cupboards where we keep all the project files and official documents. The floors are tiled and easy to sweep, which is good because the Gujarat dust gets in everywhere. We don't use a lot of fancy terminology here; we just talk about what needs to be built and which teams are going where. The staff is mostly local people, and we often bring in food from our homes to share during the lunch break. We’ve got a small sign on the front gate so people can find us. It’s a practical setup for the work we do. Most of our day is spent on the phone or writing down notes in our big registers. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the work week with friends and colleagues.
