Working up here in Hamirpur is quite a change if you’re used to the plains. Our place is in Village Padhian, right in the Barsar tehsil. It’s a beautiful area, but the hills make everything a bit more complicated when it comes to infrastructure work. At Simplex Infrastructure Ltd., we’ve learned to respect the landscape. The air is thinner, and the roads can be tricky, especially during the winter or the rainy season. Our office isn’t much to look at from the outside, just a solid building where we keep our records and meet with the guys. We don't use much fancy talk around here. If something needs to be built or fixed, we just go out and do it. Being in Balh Bihal means we’re a bit removed from the big towns, so we have to be pretty self-reliant. Sometimes it takes longer to get supplies delivered up the winding roads, but we plan for that. Most of us have been living in Himachal for years, so we know the pace of life here. It’s not about rushing; it’s about doing the job right so it lasts. We keep things simple and focus on the practical side of things. It’s a good team we’ve got, and we all know our roles without having to be told every five minutes. The mountain view from the office window isn't too bad either when things get stressful.
