Shri Dhanvantari Hospital

Our hospital, Shri Dhanvantari, is up on the first floor of the Vardhaman Complex. We are right in the Main Bazar area of Dhrol. Being in Jamnagar district, it gets quite lively around here during the market days. You have to walk up the stairs to get to us. The complex has several other shops, so the stairs are always being used by everyone. It’s a modest hospital. We have some beds and the usual equipment you’d expect to find. I spend a lot of time looking out at the bazar from the window when things are quiet. But it isn't quiet very often. People come in with all sorts of issues throughout the day. We do our best to help them out without making things too complicated. I handle the day-to-day stuff, from talking to patients to making sure we have enough supplies in the cupboard. It’s not a fancy job. It’s just what I do. The air in Dhrol can be quite dusty, so we are always cleaning the glass and the tables. I’ve worked in bigger cities before, but I really prefer the pace here. You get to know the local families well. The Main Bazar is the heart of the town, so we are right in the middle of everything. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just the name on the door and the work we do.
