We are based in the SDCC Colony, specifically in the F/2/7 unit. It’s a residential area built for the people working at the cement plant in Digvijaygram. Working and living in the colony means the job is always right there next to you. Sikka is a place where you either work at the plant or you know everyone who does. Our daily routine is pretty much dictated by the factory shifts. You see the workers heading out in their uniforms while you’re having your morning tea. The colony itself has a lot of trees, which helps with the heat, but the cement dust still finds its way onto everything. We handle a lot of the local coordination from this address. It’s more of a home office feel than a corporate one. We don’t have fancy signs or a big lobby. People just know where we are. Usually, the neighbors are dropping by to chat or ask about work schedules. It’s a very grounded way to operate. Jamnagar is a big district, but out here in Sikka, things feel smaller and more personal. We focus on our specific tasks and try to keep things organized despite the busy nature of the cement industry. It’s a steady life, filled with the usual ups and downs of industrial work. We keep our doors open and just get on with it, day after day, making sure things stay on track for everyone involved.
