About Shree Digvijay Cement Company Limited – Metals & Minerals in Jamnagar
Our spot is in G-12 at the Officers Hostel in the SDCCL Township. It is a small space, mostly filled with files and a few old chairs that have seen better days. Being in Digvijaygram means we are close to the main cement works, which makes things easier when we need to check on things. Sikka is a tight-knit place, and most of us here have worked for the company for many years. We spend a lot of time talking to drivers and making sure the logistics don't fall apart. Sometimes the office feels cramped when three or four people are trying to talk at once, but we get through the work. Outside, the township is usually buzzing with activity. You see the same faces every morning at the canteen or near the gates. It’s not a glamorous setup by any means. We deal with the daily grind of the cement business, which is mostly about coordination and staying on top of the schedule. The air always has that heavy industrial smell, and the noise of the plant is like background music you eventually stop hearing. We keep things pretty straightforward here. If someone needs something, they just knock on the door of G-12. No need for formal appointments or anything like that. It’s just us doing what needs to be done to keep things moving forward as best as we can every day.
