Living and working in the township is a bit different than being in the city. Our spot is at L3/9, right inside the Shree Digvijay Cement Co. Ltd Township in Digvijaygram. Sikka is right nearby, so you get that coastal air sometimes. Most of the people you see at the local shops work at the plant or used to. It's a tight-knit community here in Jamnagar district. We don’t really do much fancy talk about the business. It’s cement. It’s what built the houses around here and the roads we drive on. My morning starts early, usually walking over to the office through the colony. You see the same faces every day. We’ve got our routine down. Some days are busier than others when the shipments are heavy. There’s always a bit of noise from the machinery in the distance, but you get used to it after a week or so. The township has everything we need, so we don't head into the main Jamnagar town unless it's for something special. It's a practical way to live. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. No need for big slogans. The cement speaks for itself when the trucks roll out. We’ve been part of this Gujarat soil for ages, and it feels like home more than a workplace.
