Rilayans

We are over in Amraiwadi, in a place called Naranpith’s Chawl. It’s right across from the Torrent Power building. If you know Ahmedabad, you know this part of town is always on the go. Rilayans is what we call ourselves here. The chawl is a lively place to be. There’s always someone talking in the hallways or the sound of a scooter starting up. Our office is a very simple space. We have a few desks pushed together and some shelves for our files. It gets quite hot in the summer, and the small fan we have doesn't always do much. We’ve been here for many years. We’ve seen businesses come and go, but we’ve managed to stay put. We don't have a big sign or any fancy lights outside. Most people find us through word of mouth. We don't use any complicated English or corporate talk. We just tell it like it is. Sometimes the office is a mess with papers everywhere, and we have to spend a whole day just tidying up. That’s just how it goes when you’re busy. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the best. We just want to do our daily work and be part of the community here in Amraiwadi. It’s a humble life, but it’s what we know. We just take things one day at a time and keep moving forward.
