The daily operations for Relogistics (India) Pvt. Ltd. happen out in Vill-Thimoli in the Sikar district of Rajasthan. It is a very dry and sandy area, so we are always dusting off the desks and the equipment. Logistics is mostly about timing, so we spend a lot of our day looking at the clock and talking to drivers on their mobile phones. The trucks pull into the yard and we have to get them loaded or unloaded as fast as we can before the sun gets too high. There’s a small office space with a couple of computers that usually have a bit of sand on the keyboards. We don't have any flashy posters on the walls, just some calendars and a map of the local roads. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad, though the heat in the middle of the day can be really draining. We usually take a long break when the sun is at its peak. The water cooler is the most popular spot in the whole building. We handle a lot of paperwork for the shipments, making sure every stamp is in the right place. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean, but it’s steady work. We’ve been operating out of this part of Sikar for a while now, and everyone knows where the Relogistics gate is. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
