Raju Art Gallery

Raju Art Gallery has been sitting here on MG Road in Dwarka for quite a while now. If you know where Govind Studio is, we are just right across from them. It’s a busy spot. Most days, the shop is a bit of a mess with frames leaning against the walls and bits of glass everywhere. We mostly deal with framing people's photos or some prints they’ve bought elsewhere. Sometimes local artists bring in their stuff too. It’s not a huge place, so things tend to pile up near the back. We started doing this because there wasn't a good place nearby to get a decent frame without paying too much. My hands are usually covered in some kind of glue or dust from the wood. We open up around ten, but sometimes if the traffic is bad, it’s a little later. People come in with old family pictures that are falling apart, and we try to see what we can do to make them look okay again. There’s no fancy lighting here like those big galleries in the city. It’s just us and our tools and a lot of sawdust. Most of our customers are just neighbors who live around the Dwarka area. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the shop stays pretty much the same. It works for us. Usually, there's a stack of unfinished work in the corner that we're trying to get through before the weekend.
