R K Kanak Ind Pvt. Ltd. is based at No. 201 in the Grain Market area, specifically near Pancheshwar Tower Chowk in Jamnagar. If you have ever been to the grain market, you know it is a very hectic place. There are trucks everywhere and people shouting prices all day long. Our office is right in the thick of it. It’s a bit of a climb to get up to room 201, but once you are there, you can see the whole chowk from the window. We spend our days dealing with various grains and industrial bits. The floors are rarely perfectly clean because of all the samples people bring in from the fields. We have bags of wheat or bajra sitting in the corners sometimes. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls or modern art. It’s a working office. We have old wooden desks and a lot of calculators. Sometimes the internet is spotty, and we have to wait to send emails, which can be frustrating when we are in a hurry. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall. We just want to make sure the trades go through and the farmers and buyers are satisfied. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of tea. We’ve been in Jamnagar for years, and we know most of the other traders around the Tower Chowk. It’s a busy, loud, and honest way to make a living.
