Devki Brass Products

We spend most of our days over at Shade No. 509/ B. It is right near Vishal Chowk in GIDC Phase-2. If you know Dared, you know how busy it gets around here. Our shop deals with brass products, which basically means we are surrounded by metal all day. It gets pretty loud and dusty sometimes. My brother and I started this because we knew the area well and saw everyone needed parts. We aren't a big fancy office. It’s just a workshop with machines and tools scattered around. Sometimes the tea guy misses our turn because we are tucked away a bit, but mostly people find us okay. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the workshop. It’s hard work, especially when the machines act up or the power goes out for a bit. We just keep at it though. The floor is usually covered in shavings by noon. We try to keep things organized but when orders come in fast, it’s a bit of a mess. That’s just how it goes here in the industrial estate. If you are walking near the chowk, you might hear the noise before you see the sign. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and most the neighbors know us. It’s not a glamorous job but it pays the bills and keeps us busy from morning till late evening. We usually close up when it gets dark.
