Nilam Travels

If you are standing at the S T Bus Stand in Patan, just look across the street and you will see Nilam Travels. Being right opposite the bus station means it is always busy and loud around here. There is a lot of dust from the buses, so we are always cleaning the glass. We started this small travel desk because so many people needed help with tickets and planning. It is a small place with just enough room for a few people to sit. We know most of the bus timings by heart now. It is not a corporate office with uniforms. I usually wear my regular clothes and keep the ledger on the wooden table. Sometimes the tea guy forgets our order because he is so busy with the bus passengers. We handle a lot of local travel around Jamnagar. People stop by on their way to work or when they are heading home to the village. The fan in the corner makes a bit of a rattling noise but it keeps the heat away. We don't have any big slogans. We just open the shop early and stay until the last main bus leaves. It is a simple life running a travel spot in Patan. Most of our customers are regular faces we see every week and they often bring us news from the other villages.
