Our place is out in Lakhabawal, in the Jamnagar district. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main city, but this is where the work happens. Being out here means we have more space than the city offices. The pin code is 361006 if you’re looking it up. It’s a dusty area, especially with all the industrial activity around Jamnagar. The office is a basic building, nothing special to look at. We spend most of our time dealing with the logistics of the industry. There's a lot of truck movement nearby. Inside, it’s mostly just us and the paperwork. We have a few big tables for looking at plans and a computer that’s a bit slow. We’ve got a small porch where we sit sometimes when the weather is decent. It’s not a place for meetings with suits and ties. We wear boots and work clothes mostly. The landscape around Lakhabawal is pretty flat and dry. We are used to the wind and the sun out here. It’s a hard-working environment. Everyone knows each other because there aren't many other businesses right next door. We keep the kettle on for tea. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We’ve been here for years and the routine doesn't change much, which is fine by us. It is just regular daily labor in the district.
