Jimmy Ice Cream

Started the shop here in Subhash Nagar a few years back. It’s right near the GIDC Octroi Naka in Jamnagar. Mostly people from the nearby offices and factories stop by when they are heading home. The weather here gets really hot, so the freezers are always running loud. We have a small space, nothing fancy. A few plastic chairs outside if someone wants to sit. It’s a family thing, me and my brother mostly. We don’t do anything too crazy with the flavors. Just the usual ones people like. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to mess with the generator, which is a pain. The street gets pretty dusty because of all the trucks passing the Naka. We open up in the afternoon and stay late. It’s a quiet life here. People know us by name now. We don’t spend money on advertising, just the sign board outside. Sometimes kids come in after school and spend a long time picking what they want. We don’t mind. It’s just how things go. Jamnagar is a good place for a shop like this. We keep things simple. The floor gets sticky by the end of the night so we spend a lot of time cleaning. That is pretty much it. Just a local ice cream spot for the neighborhood.
