Gopal Brass Industries

Gopal Brass Industries is located at Gopal Niwas, which is right on Digvija Plot, number 34. It’s an old neighborhood, and we’ve been part of it for a long time. The building is basically where we live and work, or at least it feels that way because we are always here. You can hear the sound of metal being worked on from the street. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the raw materials and the tools we use for the brass work. We don’t have any fancy showroom or anything like that for people to visit. People just come to the door when they need something made or fixed. The floors are often covered in small metal shavings, and we spend a lot of time cleaning up at the end of the day so we can start fresh. Digvija Plot is always busy with people moving around and other small workshops doing their own thing. We know most of the neighbors and we look out for each other. Sometimes the heat in the workshop gets to be a lot, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the front. We just keep the fans going and keep working on the pieces. It’s a family-style environment here, nothing corporate about it at all. We just focus on getting the brass pieces finished properly and on time. It’s honest work and it keeps us occupied from early morning until late at night. There is always something to polish.
