Essar Constructions (India) Ltd.

Our office is up on the fourth floor of Nandanvan Apartment. We are in Patel Colony, 6/1. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. Essar Constructions (India) Ltd. is the name on the door. Up here at Flat 401, it’s usually a bit quieter than the street level. We have a good view of the neighborhood from the balcony. Most of our day is spent talking to contractors or checking on supply orders. We’ve been in Jamnagar for a good while. The office is full of maps and site plans. It’s a messy place sometimes, but we know where everything is. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; usually, you just walk in and talk to whoever is free at their desk. Construction work involves a lot of back-and-forth. We might be here in the morning and then out at a site for the rest of the day. It’s not a glamorous job, just a lot of hard work and making sure things get built properly. We try to keep things simple. Patel Colony is a nice area, quite settled. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of this building. Sometimes we share snacks during the afternoon break. It’s just a regular local business trying to do the job right. We don't make big promises, we just show up and do what needs to be done. The fans hum all day to keep us cool. It’s a steady kind of life. We are just here doing our bit every day.
