We’re based in Jamnagar, specifically at Nandanvan Apartment in Patel Colony. It’s on the first floor, flat 103. Being in Patel Colony is convenient because it’s a central sort of place. Essar Constructions (India) Ltd. has been operating out of this flat for some time. It feels more like a home than a stiff office, which we prefer. There’s always someone coming in or out with blueprints or delivery notes. Jamnagar has its own pace, and we just follow that. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, but everyone is used to it by now. We deal with various building projects around the state. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times it's quiet enough to actually get the ledger books updated. We don't spend money on fancy decorations inside. It’s mostly desks, chairs, and stacks of project folders. We know the neighbors in the building well. Working from an apartment means we stay close to the ground. It’s practical. We handle the logistics and the planning from here. Gujarat can get really dusty, so we are always cleaning the windows. We just try to keep things moving along without too much fuss. If a project is happening nearby, we might walk over. Otherwise, we’re mostly here making sure the numbers add up and the materials are where they should be for the next day's work. It's a lot of coordination with vendors. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks down and we just go out. We just do the work.
