Essar Constructions India Limited operates out of Swetha Apartments here in Jamnagar. We actually use Flat No. 503 and 603 for our daily business. It might seem a bit unusual to run a construction company from an apartment building, but it works for us. It keeps our overhead low and we are right in the heart of Gujarat. Jamnagar is a place where everyone knows everyone, and we like that feeling. In the office, it's usually just us going over plans and making sure the supplies are ordered. We don’t have a showroom or anything like that. People usually come to us because they heard about us from someone else. The apartments are a quiet place to get the administrative side of things done while the real work happens out in the field. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it’s quiet enough to actually get some filing finished. We’ve been in these flats for quite a while now. It’s a bit cramped when we have everyone in for a meeting, but we make it work. Most of our life is spent on construction sites anyway. Jamnagar has been good to us over the years.
