You can find us over by the Kabir Aashram, near the Iscon Gate in Dwarka Town. It’s a pretty busy corner of the world. There’s always someone walking by or a rickshaw honking its horn. We’ve been running this travel business from this spot for a good while. The office is simple, just some chairs and a table where we figure out the schedules for the day. Being near the Iscon Gate means we see a lot of people coming and going. It gets noisy sometimes, but we are used to it by now. The drivers come in and out, grabbing keys and headed off to Somnath or just around the local area. We don't use any fancy talk here. If a car is available, we let you know. If not, we tell you when the next one is coming back. The weather in Gujarat can be tough on the vehicles, so we spend a fair bit of time on maintenance and cleaning. It’s a small operation, mostly just a few of us making sure everything moves along. We don't have a big mission statement hung on the wall. We just focus on the work at hand and getting through the daily list of bookings. It’s a practical way to live, being right here where all the action is near the ashram. Some days the phones don't stop ringing and other days we just sit and drink tea while waiting for the next job to come in.
