Sarju Brass Works

It’s just us here at 45, Digvijay Plot in Jamnagar. We spend most of our days working with brass, which is what this whole area is known for anyway. If you walk down the street, you’ll hear the same sounds from every building. We started Sarju Brass Works because it’s the trade we know. There isn’t much to say about the building itself, it’s just a regular workspace where we get things done. Sometimes the heat gets to you, especially in the summers, but the machines keep running. We make different parts and pieces, mostly small stuff that goes into bigger machines later on. People around here know us by name, and we know them. It’s a tight community in this part of Jamnagar. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just the workshop floor and some storage in the back. Usually, there’s a lot of metal scrap lying around until we clear it out on Saturdays. It gets messy, but that’s how it goes when you’re cutting and shaping brass all day long. We don’t spend much time on computers or making things look pretty for a website. Most of our work comes from people just knowing we are here and what we do. If someone needs a specific part, they usually just stop by or send a note over. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it’s worked for us so far.
