Trident Fasteners

Down here at Plot No. 3731 in Phase-3 of the Gidc, we deal mostly in small things. Fasteners might not seem like much to some people, but when you’re surrounded by millions of bolts and screws every day, you start to see why they matter. Our machines make a very specific rhythmic sound that you can hear from the street. It’s a constant thumping and clicking as the metal gets shaped. We’ve been in this part of Gidc for a few years now. The roads around here can be a bit rough, especially after the rain, but we like being in this industrial hub. Inside the factory, it smells like oil and cold steel. We spend a lot of time checking the threads on the bolts because if one batch is off, the whole day is wasted. It’s tedious work sometimes, sitting there with gauges and calipers, but it’s what we do. Our staff mostly lives nearby, so we’ve become a bit of a tight group over time. We eat lunch together in the small breakroom and talk about everything except work. There are crates stacked up to the ceiling in some corners because we try to keep enough stock for whoever walks in. It isn't a glamorous job, and the floor is always a bit slippery from the coolant, but it’s a steady living for all of us here.
