At Plot 745 in Phase-2 of the GIDC, we have another one of our units. It’s a bit different from the Phase-3 spot, maybe a little more cramped, but we make it work. The street outside is usually a mess of parked cycles and delivery vans. We’ve been here for several years now. The building is just a standard industrial shed, nothing to brag about. We spend most of our time on the shop floor, so the small office area is usually just for storage and the phone. We don’t have air conditioning, so we rely on those huge industrial fans to keep the air moving. They are loud, but they do the trick. Our team is local, and we’ve all grown used to the noise and the pace of the work. We don’t have a fancy website or a sales team. If the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands and answers it. We keep our records in big paper binders rather than on a computer for the most part. It’s just easier for us that way. The work is repetitive but we try to keep a good spirit about it. We don’t have any big corporate values or anything like that. We just want to finish the day’s work and make sure it’s done right. Then we lock up the gate and head home.
