S. M. Corporation

We’ve been based out of Plot No. 3064-1 for quite some time now. Being here in Phase-3 of the Gidc, you get used to the noise and the constant movement of lorries. S. M. Corporation is just a handful of us working away most days. We don’t have a big front office or anyone to answer the phones with a scripted greeting. Usually, if the phone rings, someone just wipes their hands and picks it up. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s how a real workshop looks. The heat in the summer can be tough under the tin roof. We drink a lot of water and just keep going. It isn't a glamorous job by any means. We handle the orders as they come in and try to stay on top of the pile. Some days are better than others. When the machines are running smooth, life is good. When something breaks, we spend the afternoon fixing it. That’s just the way it goes here. People around Gidc know us as the guys at 3064-1. We aren't trying to change the world or anything like that. We just want to do a decent job and get things shipped out on time. It’s a simple setup. We’ve got our routine down. We start early, take a break for lunch, and then get back to it until the sun goes down. It works for us and keeps the lights on.
