Riddhi Enterprise

Our workshop is at Plot No. 281 in Gidc-ii, Dared. It’s a dusty part of town, especially when the wind picks up in the afternoon. We have been here for several years now. We do a lot of machine work, mostly small brass parts and fittings. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings. We sweep up every evening but by ten the next morning, it’s back to how it was. We have a few lathes and some drilling machines that have seen better days but they are reliable. We don't have an air conditioner, just open windows and a couple of pedestal fans. The noise can be quite a lot when everyone is working at once. We usually have the radio playing in the background, though you can barely hear it. Our records are kept in big ledger books. We don't really do the digital stuff much. It’s easier to just write it down. The guys working here are from around the neighborhood. We know their families and they know ours. It’s a small place where everyone chips in. We don't have a big title for anyone. If something needs moving, we all move it. We just try to make sure the threads are clean and the sizes are exact. It's honest work and it fills the day. We don't need much else besides a working machine and a bit of grease.
