Pooja Precision Products

If you head into GIDC Phase 2, you’ll find Pooja Precision Products at Plot No. 1. This area is full of workshops and small factories, and we fit right in with the rest of them. Our daily life revolves around the machines we use to make precision parts. It’s noisy and there is always a bit of oil on the floor, no matter how much we try to keep it clean. We’ve been here for years, and we know most of the other shop owners on this block of the GIDC. We don’t have a big corporate office or a sales team in suits. Usually, it’s just us in our work shirts, checking the measurements on a piece of metal or talking to a customer about a specific part they need. The machines have their own rhythm, and you get used to the sound of the metal being cut and shaped. It gets pretty hot in the afternoon, so we keep the big doors open to catch whatever breeze comes through the industrial estate. We take our work seriously because these parts have to be exact, but we don't feel the need to use big words to describe it. It’s just about getting the dimensions right and making sure the finished product is what was asked for. It’s a simple, hardworking life here in Phase 2, and we wouldn't have it any other way. The electric meter box makes a weird buzzing sound when we turn on the big lathes.
