At Plot No. 3261 in Phase-3, things get pretty busy whenever the planting season starts to come around. Over at Lavti Fertilizers Chemicals, we deal with a lot of heavy bags. They are bulky and they always leave a fine white powder on your boots by the end of the day. The air inside always has that sharp, tangy smell of chemicals. You get used to it after your first week on the floor. We have a lot of pallets stacked high, sometimes it feels like they might actually touch the ceiling. We spend the morning checking the bags for any leaks and making sure the labels are stuck on straight. It is not the kind of job where you can stay clean for very long. By the time we head out, we are usually covered in a layer of dust. The GIDC area can get really hot in the afternoon, so we try to get all the heavy lifting done as early as possible. We have a small table in the back where we eat our lunch, usually just talking about the local news or the weather. If the rain comes suddenly, we have to scramble to make sure everything stays dry inside the warehouse. That is a real rush when it happens. We are not doing anything complicated here, just mixing and bagging stuff that people need for their land. It is a straightforward way to make a living and no one puts on any airs.
