Working with brass at Plot No. K-1-551-Adared means things get pretty warm during the day. GIDC is full of places like ours, but we’ve made this little corner our own. You can usually tell you're close by the specific smell of metal being worked. We have several machines lined up, and there’s always someone tending to them. It’s a lot of repetitive motion, but you have to stay sharp so nothing goes wrong with the casting. We’ve been at this address for quite some time now. The building itself has seen better days, but it holds up well enough for what we do. We don’t have a big sign out front or anything. Most people who come here already know where we are. We deal with various brass parts, mostly small ones that go into bigger machines or plumbing. Every morning we open up the big shutters to let some air in, which helps a bit with the heat from the melting. The guys in the shop are local, living not too far from the estate. We drink tea twice a day and talk about the local news or the price of raw materials. It’s just a regular way to make a living. We don't bother with fancy brochures or websites. If you need something made of brass, you just show us a sample or a sketch, and we see if the machines can handle it. It's dusty and loud, but it's home for us during the day. We try to keep the scrap sorted.
