Evergreen Enterprise

Our shop is over in Phase-3 of the Dared GIDC area in Jamnagar. Specifically, we are at Plot 3085 on Road Number 6. If you’ve ever been to Dared, you know it’s just row after row of industrial units. Ours is one of the smaller ones. We have been here for a good chunk of time. The road gets quite dusty because of all the construction and the trucks passing by constantly. We mostly work with brass parts, like everyone else in this neighborhood. The machines make a lot of noise, so we have to shout a bit to be heard sometimes. It’s a simple life. We start early when it’s still a bit cool. The interior of the plot is mostly taken up by raw materials and the finished pieces waiting to be packed. We don't have any fancy signs or a big marketing department. Usually, it’s just the owner and a couple of guys handling the lathes. We have a small desk in the corner for the bills and the ledger. Sometimes we have a bit of trouble with the rain coming in under the door during the monsoon, but we just pile up some bags and keep working. Jamnagar is a tough place to work because of the heat, but this is what we know. We just focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the parts are ready when the customer says they’re coming. We stay busy.
