Astron Brass Components

Our workshop is located out in Plot No. 4092 in the Dared GIDC area. If you’ve ever been to the industrial estate, you know it’s a lot of noise and metal. At Astron Brass Components, we spend our days around the machines. It’s hot work, especially in the summer months when the brass casting is going full tilt. We started out small and just kept adding a few more machines as we went along. The floors aren't always clean and there's usually a smell of oil in the air, but that's just part of the job. We make all sorts of little brass pieces that go into bigger machines or plumbing. Most of the guys here have been with us since the start. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby; usually, if you walk in, you’ll find one of us covered in dust or checking a measurement on a lathe. It's a simple setup. We focus on getting the dimensions right so the parts actually fit when they get sent off. The GIDC is a busy place to be, and there's always trucks coming and going. We just stay in our corner of 4092 and get through the daily production list. It's honest work and keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the scrap metal piles up, but we clear it out every few days.
