Arihant Brass Industries

Our workshop, Arihant Brass Industries, is located at Plot No. 3294 on "b" Road in Gidc - 3, Dared. Jamnagar is famous for brass, so we fit right in with all the other small factories around here. We spend a lot of time around the lathes and the scrap bins. Brass work is dirty and hot, especially during the summer months in Gujarat. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It’s usually just the owner and a handful of workers getting through the orders. Some days we are making small screws, other days it's bigger parts. It depends on what the customers ask for that week. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. Most people just come by the shop or call us on the mobile. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by the end of the day. We try to sweep up, but it just gets messy again tomorrow. It’s a simple life. We have tea twice a day and keep the machines running. The "b" Road can get crowded with trucks, but we like being in the middle of the action in Dared. It’s a solid place to work if you don't mind the noise and the smell of oil. We just do our best with the tools we have and keep the production going.
