At Ankita Extrusions, we spend most of our time at 686, Gidc-ii, Dared. It’s a typical industrial spot. If you’ve ever been to the Gidc in Jamnagar, you know it’s all about metal and manufacturing. Dared is dusty and loud, which is just how it is when you’re doing extrusion work. We have these big machines that take up most of the space. They make a lot of noise, so you get used to shouting a bit to be heard. We deal with metal shapes and parts all day long. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. Most of us are in work clothes that usually have a few stains on them. We don’t have a fancy front desk with a receptionist. Usually, if someone comes by, one of us just wipes our hands and goes to see what they need. The office is just a small corner where we keep the bills and the drawings for the parts we make. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, especially when all the equipment is running full tilt. We just focus on getting the orders out of the door. There’s no big corporate vibe here; it’s just a group of guys who know how to work the machines. We’ve been at plot 686 for years. It’s a simple setup, and it works for us. We just keep doing our thing every day without making too much of a fuss.
