Cottage Brass Industries

We work out of Hasmukh Kunj over at 50-Digvijay Plot. Cottage Brass Industries has been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. The smell of metal and the sound of polishing tools are just part of the daily routine here. It’s a family-run sort of place, and you can tell because there’s always someone’s relative dropping by for tea or to share some news. We focus on brass items, doing the casting and the finishing work right on site in our workshop. The walls are a bit stained from the smoke and the heat of the furnace, but that’s what happens in a foundry. We don’t have a glossy catalog or a receptionist waiting at the door. If the phone rings, whoever is closest to it picks it up. We take pride in just doing a solid day’s work for our customers. Sometimes the orders are big and we stay late into the night, other times it’s just the regular small stuff that keeps us going. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years, but our shop stays pretty much the same. It’s a bit cramped with all the molds and raw materials laying around on the ground, but we manage just fine. We don’t use any high-tech gadgets, just the tools we’ve used for decades. It’s straightforward work for people who need brass parts that are made the right way without any extra fluff. We’re just here doing our job as best as we can every day.
