Geeta Wooden Industries

We are located over in Jamnagar, right near the Arya Samaj Road. Our workshop is in the Kumbhar Vado area, close to Pavan Chakki. It is a bit of a dusty place because we work with wood all day long. As soon as you step inside, the smell of sawdust is everywhere. We have been at this spot for quite a long time now, so all the neighbors know us by name. It’s not a fancy showroom with bright lights. It is just a workspace where we cut, sand, and move planks. The machines are usually running from the early hours of the morning until late afternoon. When the summer heat hits, it gets pretty warm under the roof, but we just keep the fans going and carry on. There are always piles of wood and offcuts lying around, even though we try to sweep up at the end of every day. We have a small team of local guys who have been with us for years and they know the trade inside out. We don’t spend any money on advertising or big signs. People usually find us because someone told them we do decent work. We spend our breaks drinking tea and talking about whatever is happening in the city. It is a simple, honest way to make a living and we don't really want it any other way. We just focus on the wood and the work.
