Yak Book Channel

We are over here in Gandhinagar, just across from Pir Baba on the main road. It's busy near Gole Market most days. We spend a lot of time sorting through books and keeping the shelves tidy. Sometimes the dust gets a bit much, but that is part of the job when you handle so much paper. People stop by when they are out shopping nearby. We don't have a massive crew, just a few of us making sure things get where they need to go. The shop isn't fancy. It is mostly stacks of books and people asking for things we have to dig out from the back. We try to keep track of everything, but sometimes it takes a minute to find a specific title. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon. We have been here for a while now, seeing the shops around us change while we just keep doing our thing. It gets loud outside with the traffic on Mian Road, but inside it is mostly just the sound of pages turning or someone shifting a ladder. We don't do much fancy stuff, just handle the books and talk to the regulars who come in. If you walk past the market, you will see us. We are just a normal part of the street here, trying to keep the business moving and the books stocked up for whoever needs them next. It’s a simple life.
