Swami Vivekanand Medical Mission Charitable Hospital

Our place, Swami Vivekanand Medical Mission Charitable Hospital, is located on BC Road in Ambphala. It’s a bit of a walk if you're coming from the main junction, but once you’re on BC Road, it’s easy enough to spot our entrance. We’ve been operating as a charitable spot for quite some time now. Things get pretty hectic on Monday mornings because that's when a lot of folks from the surrounding areas decide to show up at once. The building has that old feel to it, and we don't spend much money on decorations or anything like that. We mostly just focus on the people who are coming in for help. There’s always someone sitting in the waiting area, usually talking to their family or just waiting quietly for their turn to see someone. The staff here is a mix of folks who have been around for years and some newer faces too. We try to keep the floors clean despite all the foot traffic we get every single day. It’s not a quiet place, but it shouldn't be, since there's always plenty of work to be done. We don't have any fancy receptionists with scripts, just regular people answering the phones and helping out where they can. Sometimes the plumbing acts up, or we run out of chairs in the lobby, but we always manage to figure it out. Being in Ambphala, we get people from all over. It’s a busy life here on BC Road and we are part of it.
