Srinagar Glass & Wood Private Limited

We are located right near the Ranbir Library on the second floor of the Jang Bahadur Mission. It is a busy part of Jammu and there is always something happening outside our windows on the street below. We handle glass and wood work, which means the shop is usually full of sawdust or pieces of glass waiting to be cut and shaped. It is not the biggest space in the world, but we make it work for what we need to do every day. Most of us have been working with these materials for years, so we just get on with the jobs as they come in. You can hear the saws going if you walk up the stairs during the afternoon. We spend a lot of time measuring things out and making sure the cuts are right for the customers. It is a bit of a climb to the second floor but it keeps us out of the main street noise a little bit. We take on all sorts of glass jobs and wood projects that people bring to us from around the city. The area around 180001 is where we have settled. We are not a big corporation, just a group of guys who know how to handle a hammer and a glass cutter properly. Some days the inventory takes up all the floor space and we have to step over things to get to the back. It is just the way a real workshop looks when things are getting done. We stay busy and keep the projects moving through the door as fast as we can.
